School Admissions

For admission into our Reception class applications are made through North Yorkshire County Council (0845 0349420).  Our current maximum admissions limit it set at 15.  The County Council allocate places based on its admissions policy (link below).

The school operates a single entry policy, with all new entrants (Reception) being at the beginning of the Autumn term and to attend full time.

Parents of children whose fifth birthday falls between the 1st of January and 31st of August may request that their child attends on a part-time basis for all or part of the Autumn Term.  School will fully support and respect parents’ right to choose.

Towards the end of the summer Term new entrants are invited to attend a series of half day sessions in order to meet the Reception Class Teacher and spend some time with the other children in the classroom.

Nursery Admissions

The school is responsible for its own admissions to our nursery class. Children can start nursery the term after their 3rd birthday.  In line with admissions to primary schools, we follow the NYCC guidance and policy as detailed above.
