Friends of Husthwaite School (FOHS)
The Friends of Husthwaite School (FOHS) primary focus is to bring parents together to raise funds to support Husthwaite C of E Primary and Apple Tree Nursery, in order to benefit and enhance the quality of education and experiences of all pupils.
Everyone who has a child at Husthwaite is a Friend of Husthwaite and as many volunteers as possible are welcomed to support FOHS and the school in the following areas:
- to help and support at FOHS events throughout the academic year
- to attend FOHS meetings and contribute to ideas regarding how funds can be raised
- to make suggestions and decisions on how the money is used to benefit school
FOHS help organise a range of events throughout the year, which vary between fundraising efforts and social events for families and children to enjoy. For example, successful events have included the Smarties Tube Challenge; the Christmas and Summer Fairs; discos; Leaver’s afternoon tea party.
The money FOHS raise goes a very long way in helping fund and benefit a variety of enrichment and curriculum activities; trips; treats; special events; awards and year 6 leavers gifts.
The School Office keep parents regularly updated via newsletters and email with the latest FOHS events, dates and venues for the FOHS meetings.
Please contact Mrs Hebdon or Miss Blakeman through the school office for further information.
